Christmas in the Park 
Saturday 9 December 4pm - 8:30pm
Central Park Pacific Pines

Pre-show commences at 4pm, Carols start at 5.30pm concluding with fireworks at 8pm.
Come along and join in our community carols event, we will have rides for the kids, face painting, giant inflatable snow globe, market stalls, food vendors and great entertainment.

Nerang Celebrates Christmas 
Saturday 16 December 3pm – 8:30pm
Bischof Park, Nerang Street, Nerang

A community celebration of Christmas for everyone! Carnival rides and jumping castle. Other foods, fairy floss and soft drinks available. Afternoon entertainment program featuring local artists and school bands, huge evening program with traditional carols and a fireworks finale.

Free School Holiday Programs Summer 2017

A great opportunity for young people (12 – 17 years) to be actively and positively engaged during the summer holidays. All activities are free and are designed
by young people.

The sessions run Monday to Friday from 9am til 5pm and are expertly supervised by Wesley Mission (under contract to Council).

Nerang: 11-15 and 18-22 December at Bert Swift Hall, Swift

Pacific Pines: 8-12 and 15-19 January at The Hub, Pacific
Pines Boulevard.

Gooding Drive roundabout (Nerang-Broadbeach Road) upgrade
The Gooding Drive roundabout upgrade will improve traffic flow, capacity and provide overall network benefits, as well as accommodating significant additional traffic on Nerang-Broadbeach Road anticipated during the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The project team will continue intermittent night works in October from Sunday to Thursday nights between 7pm and 5am. Completion expected late 2017.

Half road closure with hold and release for 2 minutes maximum between Elysium Drive and end of road.

Springbrook Road Works

Gold Coast-Springbrook Road: restoration works
Restoration works to permanently repair the damage sustained on Gold Coast-Springbrook Road during the wet weather event associated with ex-severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie in March 2017. The volume and intensity of the rainfall caused significant damage to slope stability, with 112 recorded locations of landslips, above and below the road. 

Transport and Main Roads are finalising solutions to permanently repair approximately 30 critical sites and a team of specialised designers has been engaged.
Transport and Main Roads is committed to restoring full access for the community as soon as possible.
Pine Creek Road, western connection, will remain the detour route to Springbrook.

Springbrook Road
15 tonne load limit between Repeater Station Road and Boy Ull Road due to culvert damage under the road.

Widening of a 350m section of Beechmont Road from Ingham Street to Jardine Road

Single lane closures of a multi-lane road - at least one lane in both directions along Binstead Way to be trafficable at all times between Studio Drive and Universal Street
